I've been searching on the internet for some fun tags, as I wanted to be more personal than usual, but still I wanted to do something beauty related. I found this tag call Would you rather? in beauty edition and decided to go for it :) I don't think there's anything left to say so let's jump right in (right under the Slovak introduction)

určite poznáte posty typu "tags", ja som hľadala nejaký tag, v ktorom by som vám mohla prezentovať niečo z môjho života, ale pritom ostať na úrovni beauty. Našla som "Would you rather?" tag, ktorý ma zaujal otázkami s touto tematikou. Bohužiaľ, otázky sú v angličtine ako aj moje odpovede, ale ak by ste mali záujem, rada Vám tento post preložím do slovenčiny :)

Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or Nice hair and no make-up?
I would definitely go out with messy hair and nice make-up...eventually it happens to me most of the time, as no matter how long does it take me to make my hair, after 30 minutes it looks like as I haven't even brushed it
Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?
OK, this question is way too creepy! :D but the more I think of it, I would rather shave my eyebrows as there is always a possibility of drawing them back on, even though it looks like poo :D
Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?
In my country we have neither of them, but knowing both stores I would go for Sephora ;)
Would you rather wear lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?

rather obvious foundation as it happens to women in Slovakia a lot and the people don't seem to notice, the overdone blush would be more noticeable

Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered?
I don't use any tanning products, but if so then gimme tan lines :D

Hmmmm, quite hard to answer...but I would go with a bad hair color

...tips and tricks: how to save time in the mornings...//...tipy a triky: ako ušetriť ráno čas :)
Hello lovelies,
tommorow the week starts again, so I am coming with my small tips and tricks how to save some time during hectic workday mornings. I am lucky enough I don't have to wake up tomorrow early, as I have finished all of my finals for this semester so I can enjoy some time-off. But Sunday is the perfect day to share with you my little tips and tricks on time saving.
As I've mentioned before, I never leave my house without being fully in "glam", I do my make-up and hair every single day and I have to confess my routine requires a plenty of time.
It takes approximately 15 minutes for me to wake up, wash my face, teeth and prepare my breakfast, the make-up and hair routine approx. 35 minutes and to dress up including leaving the house an extra of 10 minutes.
One may find this morning routine to be way tooooo long and unnecessary, but for me it is the perfect time...I just love to drink my coffee, eat my breakfast and enjoy the "me-time".
But I have to tell you, that I had to come up with some trick, which would lessen the amount of time I need to get ready and I would like to share them with you.
Hopefully, you will find them helpful and as there's nothing more left to say here they are:

- check the weather forecast to know what will you have to deal with the next day
- according to it, prepare your outfit
- prepare also your accesories, shoes and coat (if needed, easier in the summer)
- think of the make-up look or hair you would like to rock
- pack all your stuff, put your keys into your purse, as well as your wallet and all the small nicknacks you will need the next day
- if you aren't having lunch in a restaurant, prepare it beforehand, I am sure it will be much healthier and more tasty if prepared without hurry
- don't stay up late and don't forget to set your alarm clock :)
- in the morning, let the coffee machine prepare your morning drink while you are concerned with your hygiene routine
- go along with breakfast such as a croissant, oatmeal,etc. something easy to prepare
- when doing your make-up skip products, which may require more time to apply (such as eyeliner), the key is to make it simple :) dramatic looks are for evening!

zajtra sa nám znovu začína ďalší pracovný týždeň, preto som sa rozhodla podeliť sa s vami o moje maličké tipy a triky, vďaka ktorým sa mi každé uponáhľané ráno darí ušetriť spústu času. Na zverejnenie tohto postu som si nemohla vybrať lepší deň než nedeľu.
Ako som vám to už prezradila, nikdy nevychádzam z domu neupravená. Každé ráno si spravím make-up a upravím vlasy, aby som vyzerala ako-tak k svetu, ale musím sa vám priznať, moja ranná rutina ma ukracuje o dosť času.
Približne 15 minút mi trvá kým sa prebudím, umyjem si tvár a zuby a pripravím raňajky, spraviť si make-up mi trvá asi 35 minút a ďalší 10 strávim obliekaním sa a odchodom z domu.
Niekomu môže pripadať moja rutina zbytočne dlhá a nepotrebná, ale pre mňa je ráno vždy pohodové...milujem sa kľude naraňajkovať a vypiť moju kávičku, bez toho sa môj deň proste nemôže začať.
Ale kým som si vedela užiť ráno, musela som prísť nato akými trikmi by som vedela skrátiť čas potrebný na prichystanie sa, aby som zvyšný ušetrený čas mohla stráviť tak ako ja chcem. Za tie roky sa mi to už dosť dobre podarilo vypracovať, preto sa s vami o ne chcem podaliť :)
Dúfam,že vám prídu nasledovné triky a tipy užitočné :)
- pozrite si predpoveď počasia, aby ste vedeli čo vás čaká nasledujúci deň
- na základe predpovedi si prichystajte outfit
- prichystajte si aj drobnosti ako doplnky, topánky, kabát, atď
- porozmýšlajte nad make-upom a vlasovým stylingom
- pobaľte si všetky veci, ktoré budete nasledujúci deň potrebovať, nezabudnite si do kabelky uložiť aj drobnosti ako kľúče, peňaženku, aby ste ich nemuseli ráno pri odchode hľadať
- ak sa nestravujete v jedálni, prichystajte si váš obed už večer, som si istá, že bude zdravší a chutnejší ak bude pripravený v kľude :)
- choďte skoro do postele a nezabudnite si nastaviť budík :)
- ráno si dajte variť kávu/čaj počas toho ako sa venujete ranným hygienickým činnostiam, kým skončíte už bude určite hotová
- na raňajky si dajte niečo ľahké - croissant, jogurt, cereálie, atď...niečo nenáročné na prípravu
- vynechajte produkty, ktoré potrebujú viac času na aplikáciu napr. očná linka, kľúčom k peknému, upravenému look-u je jednoduchosť, dramatický make-up si nechajte na večer!

...the magic of make-up...//...zázrak menom make-up :)

as promised, today I am coming with a brand new beauty post.
I've been thinking what would I like to write about today and I decided to create a "face of the day" type of post, but with a small alternation. I am including two photos, one on which I am having naked face without a drop of any product and another on which the magic has already happened - me wearing make-up a.k.a face of the day. I would like to give you some tips how I conceal all of the small imperfections, which I think a lot of us have and fight them every single day.
I don't think I have ever published a photo of me without make-up and I can't even recall the last time I was outside without make-up (grocery shop doesn't count). Make-up has become a staple part of my daily routine, when I am going somewhere. But it's time to reveal the "ugly truth"...so enjoy reading :)

Dlho som rozmýšlala o čom by som chcela dnes písať a napadlo ma, že by som mohla vytvoriť post v štýle "Face of the day" (tvár dňa), ale s menšou zmenou. Do tohto postu pridám fotku s tvárou nielen po aplikácii make-up, ale aj pred. Mám taký pocit, že som ešte nikdy nič podobné nespravila, bez make-upu nechodím ani na krok (do potravín sa neráta). Make-up sa stal stabilnou časťou mojej dennej rutiny, až tak, že si život bez neho už ani neviem predstaviť.
Rada by som vám v tomto poste poskytla tipy ako zahaliť vaše drobné nedostatky, teda ako ich "odstraňujem" ja, pretože viem,že mnohé z nás ich máme a snažíme sa ich čo najlepšie ukryť.
Tak je načase pustiť sa do toho...
1, in order not to have massive breakouts from foundation and all the stuff I put on my face, I begin every make-up application with washing my face with water and applying a toner // každú aplikáciu make-up začínam tým, že si umyjem tvár vodou a zvyšky nečistôt odstránim pleťovým tonikom
2, to even out my skin and mask my pores I use L'oreal Dermo Expertise Skin Perfection, this product is such a gem...comment if you would like a review on it :) // na zjednotenie tónu pleti a zakrytie pórov používam L'oreal Dermo Expertise Skin Perfection, tento produkt je proste úžasný!
3, having a more oily type of skin, I use a mattifying product as a primer mostly Bioderma's Mat //
tým, že mám mastnejšiu pleť, potrebujem zabezpečiť, aby sa moja pleť cez deň neleskla, ako primer preto používam Biodermu Mat
4, as you might see I have terrible under-eye circles, I have to use multiple products to mask them - my holy grails are Garnier's Roll On and any concealer in pink/salmon tones // ako vidíte, mám hrozné kruhy pod očami, používam viacero produktov na ich zakrytie, ale mojimi najobľúbenejšími sú Garnier Roll On a akýkoľvek korektor v odtieni ružovej/lososovej
5, everytime before applying make-up I prime my lips with any lipbalm, it makes such difference // pred každou aplikáciou make-upu si nabalzamujem pery, kým dokončím svoj make-up mám ich pekne hydratované :)
6, to make my face look skinnier and nose thiner, I contour my face // efekt tenkej tváre a úzkeho nosa sa mi podarí docieliť kontúrovaním
7, never forget to apply a small amount of light shade to your tearducts, it makes you look more awake // nezabúdajte aplikovať svetlejší tieň na vnútornú stranu vášho spodného očného viečka, vytvára to efekt otvorenejších očí
8, if you are not feeling like wearing a ton of make-up keeping your routine quite simple, but you are still lacking something, add a pop of colour by using a dark lipstick // ak vám chýba nejaká farba z tváre, ale necítite sa nato,aby ste na nej mali veľa produktov, dajte si tmavší rúž...dodá vám to nielen sebavedomie, ale oživí celú tvár :)

...revived blog and changes...//...môj blog ožil :)
Hello lovelies,
after such a long time I decided to come back :)
It's been approximately half a year since I haven't written anything, but I just didn't find the meaning of keeping this blog alive at all. Till today there aren't any comments or any feedback, which would persuade me that it is worth keeping this blog.
I've been thinking for a past few weeks of reviving this blog...because, very simply, I am missing talking about make-up and stuff related to it, in my "real" life there's nobody who would make a good conversation partner in this field and this blog always provided me place for it.
So I decided to make some changes :)
I will be writing shorter posts, but they are going to be both in English and Slovak.
I hope you don't mind :) I feel that there are so many good bloggers, who own English blogs and here in Slovakia we lack blogs, which are concerned with such themes as make-up and beauty.
I hope it will work out :)
I will be back in a very short time :)
Until then I am wishing you a nice week!

Môj blog existuje už niečo vyše roka, ale toto je prvý post v slovenčine!
Dlho som rozmýšlala, či mám začať písať články v slovenčine, ale povedala som si prečo nie :)
Väčšina mojich článkov bude aj v angličtine, bolo to tak od začiatku a túto tradíciu meniť nechcem. Ale, predsalen, slovenčina mi umožní predstaviť tento blog aj dievčatám zo Slovenska, však módnych a beauty blogov v angličtine je na nete nekonečno a slovenských tak málo.
Ako ste si to už možno všimli môj blog je hlavne o kozmetike, móde a občas aj tak trochu o mne.
V reálnom živote nemám veľmi možnosť rozprávať sa o týchto témach, preto sa ,dúfam, budete zapájať do tohto môjho virtuálne sveta aj vy :)
Čoskoro sa vám ozvem s beauty postom...
zatiaľ vám prajem pekný týždeň :)

..get your freak on! 15 weird facts about me...
Hello lovelies :)
I am completely out of ideas of beauty or fashion posts, so today I decided to share with you 15 weird facts about me. A few weeks ago I wrote about my plans for summer and that post inspired me to share more personal information about me. I still don't want to get into details about my life, but I consider the Get your freak on! tag for a very funny one and harmless one, which does not penetrate into very deep layers of ones private life.
So without further ado, let's hop right in :)
1. What's a nickname only your family calls you?
To be honest, I don't have a nickname. I've never had one as my name is too rare for this area, there are only a few "Karin" named persons here and people often get confused with my name, instead of "Karin" they call me "Katarína" what is equivalent for English Katherine. It really pisses me off!
2. What is a weird habit of yours?
I have too many weird habits, I am such a freak.
But my biggest weird habit is that before I leave my place, I have to tidy up my room, I can't leave until it's not fully tidy, every item should be returned to it's own place, the bed must be prepared and so on.
3. Do you have any weird phobias?
Yes I do, I am deathly afraid of thunderstorms.
4. What's a song you secretly love to blast and belt out when you're alone?
Haha,such an easy question- it must be Beyoncé's Schoolin' Life and End of Time
5. What's one of your biggest pet peeves?
There are tons of pet peeves I have - but among the biggest ones are if someone chews chewing gum very loudly, if someone leaves the sink dirty and if someone stand very closely to me
6. What's one of your nervous habits?
This is such a nasty habit, but I have to confess that when I am nervous I start to scratch the skin around my nails, I try to give up this bad habit, but sometimes I catch myself doing it. You may imagine how awful my fingers look like....gross! :-/
7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
It depends on whether I am at home or in Bratislava. At home I usually sleep on the right side of the bed, but in Bratislava I have a giant bed and I fill up the whole space sleeping right in the middle of the bed.
8. What was your first stuffed animal & it's name?
I had many stuffed animals, but there is a precious one for me. It is a pink teddy bear I got from my father when I was 2 years old, since then I sleep with it every night even till today. Funny is that I haven't actually named it, it still remained "teddy bear" :)
9. What's the drink you always order at Starbucks?
We don't have Starbucks in our country, so this question is illegitimate to ask me.
10. What's the beauty rule you preach...but never actually practice?
Clean your brushes! I am so lazy in this, I know I have to clean my brushes, but I kinda forget it and get to it very rarely... bleeh, disgusting, isn't it?!
11. Which way do you face in the shower?
Hmm, my face always faces the shower head
12. Do you have any weird body skills?
Nooo, but I desperately wish I had one :D
13. What's your favourite "comfort food"/food that's bad but you love to eat?
I love McDonald's, french fries, chips and everything sweet
14. What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?
There are some, but unfortunately they can't be translated to English. Some of them are kinda embrassing, so it's better that they can't be translated into English.
15. Time to sleep - what are you actually wearing?

I am completely out of ideas of beauty or fashion posts, so today I decided to share with you 15 weird facts about me. A few weeks ago I wrote about my plans for summer and that post inspired me to share more personal information about me. I still don't want to get into details about my life, but I consider the Get your freak on! tag for a very funny one and harmless one, which does not penetrate into very deep layers of ones private life.
So without further ado, let's hop right in :)
1. What's a nickname only your family calls you?
To be honest, I don't have a nickname. I've never had one as my name is too rare for this area, there are only a few "Karin" named persons here and people often get confused with my name, instead of "Karin" they call me "Katarína" what is equivalent for English Katherine. It really pisses me off!
2. What is a weird habit of yours?
I have too many weird habits, I am such a freak.
But my biggest weird habit is that before I leave my place, I have to tidy up my room, I can't leave until it's not fully tidy, every item should be returned to it's own place, the bed must be prepared and so on.
3. Do you have any weird phobias?
Yes I do, I am deathly afraid of thunderstorms.
4. What's a song you secretly love to blast and belt out when you're alone?
Haha,such an easy question- it must be Beyoncé's Schoolin' Life and End of Time
5. What's one of your biggest pet peeves?
There are tons of pet peeves I have - but among the biggest ones are if someone chews chewing gum very loudly, if someone leaves the sink dirty and if someone stand very closely to me
6. What's one of your nervous habits?
This is such a nasty habit, but I have to confess that when I am nervous I start to scratch the skin around my nails, I try to give up this bad habit, but sometimes I catch myself doing it. You may imagine how awful my fingers look like....gross! :-/
7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
It depends on whether I am at home or in Bratislava. At home I usually sleep on the right side of the bed, but in Bratislava I have a giant bed and I fill up the whole space sleeping right in the middle of the bed.
8. What was your first stuffed animal & it's name?
I had many stuffed animals, but there is a precious one for me. It is a pink teddy bear I got from my father when I was 2 years old, since then I sleep with it every night even till today. Funny is that I haven't actually named it, it still remained "teddy bear" :)
9. What's the drink you always order at Starbucks?
We don't have Starbucks in our country, so this question is illegitimate to ask me.
10. What's the beauty rule you preach...but never actually practice?
Clean your brushes! I am so lazy in this, I know I have to clean my brushes, but I kinda forget it and get to it very rarely... bleeh, disgusting, isn't it?!
11. Which way do you face in the shower?
Hmm, my face always faces the shower head
12. Do you have any weird body skills?
Nooo, but I desperately wish I had one :D
13. What's your favourite "comfort food"/food that's bad but you love to eat?
I love McDonald's, french fries, chips and everything sweet
14. What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?
There are some, but unfortunately they can't be translated to English. Some of them are kinda embrassing, so it's better that they can't be translated into English.
15. Time to sleep - what are you actually wearing?

...shoes+accessories haul...
Hello lovelies :)
Last weekend I've been shopping in Budapest for sandals, but unfortunately I haven't found any I liked so I ended up buying gewgaws such as belts, earrings and handbags.
I've been in need for white and nude sandals, so after my unsuccessful shopping trip for sandals, I've decided to order two pairs from a Slovak webshop.
The package arrived yesterday and I am soo happy :)
It's a pity that I'll have to wait a few days till I'll be able to wear them, because in the last two days the weather went all wrong. It looks more like mid-autumn time than beginning of summer and the forecast says this weather will last till the beginning of the next week.
Anyways, next week I am going finally back to Bratislava. Since I've done my exams I've been staying at home, but somehow there's not much stuff to do, so I am looking forward staying in Bratislava very much.
A few days ago I've mentioned that I would like to study lingua italiano during this summer so I enrolled to a course, which will last whole July.
Wohooo, can't wait until its beginning on Monday! :)
But back to my post, as you might have guessed, I would like to show you my little bits and pieces from haul.
Let's hop right in!
I have to confess that I hate wearing belts, I wear them only when I really have to, somehow I don't feel comfortable wearing them. Even though I know that they liven up every outfit and are very stylish, somehow I can't handle them.
Unfortunately, my body is in constant losing/gaining weight so belts are very useful piece for me.
I've been shopping in H&M and I saw a package of 3 belts for only 5€, I couldn't resist buying them because they came in beautiful colours, I've also noticed the braided one which I would get a lot of use of.
Then I went past Claire's, I don't know whether you are familiar with this shop but in general it sells accesorries. They have great deals all the time like "buy 3 pay 2" and stuff like that. This time they had this deal on earrings. I was soo lucky, because I went in to buy hoop earrings. I wear hoops mainly during summer, in my opinion they fit me very well, but I didn't have any because my old ones broke a few weeks ago and I wasn't able to find any in shops in my town. So I went into Claire's and bought 2 pairs - one bigger and one smaller (I am usually very hesitant when I like two things, I am simply not able to decide which one to get so often I end up getting both - that's why I have 2 same shirts,dresses, etc. in different colours).
And as I mentioned, they had this deal so I ended up getting these long, edgy, gold earrings with spikes too.
So I ended up having 3 earring for price of 2. Such a great deal, isn't it? :)
And last but not least....my new shoes :)

As I've mentioned I have ordered a nude and a white pair.
The nude ones are more on the everyday shoes side, these types of heels are the most comfortable ones for me. I am sure I've mentioned that I am a heels kinda girl. I never wear flats, only when I really have to. All the ballet shoes and flat sandals give me freaking blisters. Heels definitely are made for me!
So maybe they look dangerous, don't be afraid, I am most comfortable in these! :D

While shopping in Claire's I've noticed this chunky necklace, I couldn't resist buying it. I don't own a lot of necklaces, but I think I will wear this all the time.
After buying jewelerry, I've decided to take a look on handbags. I was lacking a simple clutch bag and a more casual cross-body bag. I was lucky enough to be able to buy both.
I've bought this white envelope clutch with silver metal application. It has also a strap which is tucked inside the bag. I've been craving for a bag like this very long time and finally I got my hands on it.
I've also bought a brownish cross-body bag. I will use it mainly during summertime walks, going to the pool and doing casual activities. The biggest advantage of this bag is that it can be worn with casual outfits, but you can also combine it with more put together ones.
And last but not least....my new shoes :)

These white sandals are brutal! They have a killer heal, but the platform in the front saves the day, even though I will have to wear them with gel pads and wear them on special occasion when I won't be walking for a long time a.k.a going everywhere with my little car. They are more on the classy side, but in my opinion they would be great with jeans aswell.
So maybe they look dangerous, don't be afraid, I am most comfortable in these! :D

...summer is here...
Hello lovelies :)
Summer is finally here!
I am usually not that type of person who enjoys warm weather, but this year I am totally glad that summer came just on time.
On Sunday was the first time I was sunbathing and having fun in a swimming pool, I had such a blast there!
Throughout the spring time I have collected a lot of summer clothing and I enjoy that I am able to combine them and create very different outfits every day.
Unfortunately, I've been lacking sandals. I am not saying I don't have anything to wear because I have tons of summer shoes, but I've been missing white and nude sandals from my shoe rack. But today, my order came, it contained two very beautiful sandals - one in white and second in nude colours. But I am definitely not lacking any clothing pieces from my wardrobe.
Today I would like to show you my all-time favourite summer pieces, things, which I love to wear the most throughout summer time and really get a lot of use out of them.
Let's begin :)
1. Maxi dresses
I own at least 9 of them, these are my all-time favourite summer pieces. I love the airy material they are made of and also that you only have to put on a dress and liven it up with some jewellery and the perfect outfit is born.
Today I would like to show you my all-time favourite summer pieces, things, which I love to wear the most throughout summer time and really get a lot of use out of them.
Let's begin :)
1. Maxi dresses
I own at least 9 of them, these are my all-time favourite summer pieces. I love the airy material they are made of and also that you only have to put on a dress and liven it up with some jewellery and the perfect outfit is born.

2. Dresses
When it happens to be freaking hot, around 33° degress and higher, I usually go for shorter dresses. In the summer I prefer wearing one-piece clothes, because I find it easier to combine with jewellery and I don't have to make great efforts to wear nice outfits. I love very different styles of dresses and these are my favourite:

3. Pants
Throughout the summer I prefer wearing mainly pants, not that I don't like skirts but I find it more comfortable to have pants on than a skirt.
I wear either long and short pants, one of my favourite piece are these very long colourful pants made of airy material (left on the first photo), they are one of my recent purchases but since then I wore them approx. 5 - 6 times. And also love shorter jeans pants, but when I want to dress more up I choose these black polka dot high-waisted ones (right on the second photo).
That is all for my favourite summer pieces, I also have a lot of shirts, T-shirts, blouses, tank tops, etc. but I can't choose my favourite ones and also some of them are very simple pieces to be easy to combine.
I left out summer shoes as I am planning a post on my summer shoes collection.
To sum it up, the displayed pieces are my very favourite. If you see me during the summer, you'll probably see me in one of these pieces :)
