...Bourjois Paris 8 in 1 BB Cream...

Well, hello lovelies :)

Today I am going to review BB Cream by Bourjois Paris. Since there is over 20 degrees of Celzius, I am using BB creams, because they are much more lighter than foundation. If I use foundation when it is hot outside, I always get breakouts and clogged pores. So I switched my favourite foundation for this BB cream.
I have tried a lot of BB creams of different brands, so I can say that this one belongs to the "better" ones.
I am going to review it another way than I am used to, it is supposed to have 8 functions so I am going to comment on each of them and in the end sum up my impressions:

1. perfecting - I wouldn't say it hides perfectly blemishes, because it has very light and creamy structure, you'll definitely need to use more concealer than the amount you use on blemishes if you have foundation.
But it is natural as BB creams aren't supposed to provide full coverage :)
If you don't have any blemishes, this BB cream really perfects your skin, evens out all the discolourations and dark spots.

2. smoothing - I can definitely say it smoothens the skin, leaving a very matt finish

3. targeted correction - see perfecting, I would not say it corrects that much

4. anti - fatigue - definitely agree :)
after application the skin lightens up, this BB cream gives it such a healthy glow

5. anti - aging - can't prove or deny,hehe...but if it acts so, I am very grateful :D

6. anti - shine - this BB cream definitely has some anti - shine effects, but only for approximately half a day. Unfortunately, it gets worn off easily mainly on the more oily areas (in my case on the forehead, nose and chin) so after a certain amount of time I noticed that my skin looks oily as if I haven't applied anything.
You can't wear it whole day without touching it up throughout the day.

7. long-lasting hydratation - after winter I had some dry patches on my nose and cheeks and since I am using this BB cream, they have disappeared

8. SPF 20 - I am so thankful it has SPF, because I am very bad in putting on sunscreen - I always forget it...

Pros:

1. packaging and texture
2. the finish on the skin
3. nice,fresh scent
4. SPF 20
5. lightens up the skin

Cons:

1. available only in 4 colours, which are more dark so suitable for women with darker skin tone
2. price - approx. 16€, for me it is ok for BB cream, but drugstore BB creams are much more cheaper
3. doesn't last all day

(my baby in 23 Rose Beige)

So overall, I am very satisfied with this product. I loooove its packaging, it is so elegant, comes with a mirror and a little sponge. I also love the light, creamy texture, which can be applied so easily without putting a lot of effort it blends so easily. As I've mentioned, leaves very matt finish and not that awkward dewy look.
I definitely don't regret buying this product and I am sure I will re - purchase it again! :)

That's all for today :)

Wishing you a nice weekend!

Carina...

...spring favourites - nail polish...

Hello lovelies :)

It is soo crazy, I've been waiting for spring for such a long time and it is finally here, but it looks more summer-y here - it is so - so hot!
Two weeks ago, I've been wearing a coat and boots and now I can walk outside only in a T-shirt.
Spring brought smile on my face. The sun is shining, birds are singing, the air smells of spring and I am longing for colours :) I had enough of grey and those "unhappy" colours even though I wear a lot of black now, I have kinda lust for black clothing, but trying to use nail polish, lipstick, etc. in bright colours to add a little contrast.

Today I would like to show you my top 5 spring nail polishes
I paint my nails every other day and my biggest issue is to choose the colour I want to wear, when I can't decide I always go for one of these:

1. O.P.I Pink Yet Lavender
2. Maybelline ColoRama no. 67
3. MaxFactor Glossfinity Lilac Lace
4. Avon NailwearPro + Well Being
5. Avon SpeedDry + Don't be Jaded

I never use the O.P.I polish by itself, I always put a layer of another polish as a base, it creates better effect and also the removal is much more easier. ;)
My favourite of the favourites is Maybelline ColoRama no. 67. I love to wear fuchsia all year long, but this is a very bright one with shimmers in it - perfect for spring. I also have a matching lipstick from Avon, I love to wear those two products simultaneously.
I have chosen the MaxFactor one because of its beautiful colour and long lasting. I am usually not a fan of these very bright purple colours, but it is so beautfil that I couldn't resist and bought it, I definitely don't regret this purchase.
The nude one from Avon is a staple piece, everyone should have at least one nude nail polish in their collection. I love this kind of peachy nude.
And last, but not least Don't be Jaded is such a crazy minty colour, it matches my mint jeggings perfectly :)
And also, could there be more spring-y colour than mint?! ;) My nail polish collection can't lack it!

I also tried to draw a hand to show you how do the nail polishes look like, decide whether it was an successful attempt ;)

So that's it for today :)

What are your favourite spring-y nail polishes?
Are you as big fans of nail polish as I am?

Share your thoughts with me in the comments!

Wishing you a nice end of the week, remember only two days till weekend! ;)

...Pupa Fissatore Brillante Smalto - review...

Hello lovelies :)

Yes I know, I have disappeared for a while but as usual I had sooo much responsibilities and school stuff to do that I could not find time to write a blog post. :( I regret it,because I promise everytime that I won´t neglect my hobbies, but you know how it works - sometime you have to put fun stuff aside. :(
Since I wrote the review on the new mascara by L'oreal (here) the no. of views dramatically increased, it makes me so-so happy and I thank you so much!
I even saw that I have a lot of Slovenian visitors (as you know I am learning Slovenian language) so I would like to say them a big živjo, dobro došli v moj blog :)
Also a great 'hi' to you readers from other countries, I appreciate that you visited this blog :)
Say 'hi' to me in the comment section ;)

So let's get to todays topic:

As you might know, even though I am a big fan of nail polish, I am also very unhandy in putting it on.
Now that I am used to paint my nails every other day it has improved a lot, but still it isn't the way I would like to have my nail painted.
Sometimes the polish turns out to be badly applied with imperfections in it, sometimes it doesn't dry even after 30 minutes and my nail polish doesn't last more than 2 days.

BUT I found a cure for my problems:

this little mirracle - Pupa Fissatore Brillante Smalto - Pupa's fix&shine top coat

I love Pupa because they have very advantageous and great offers that I can never resist and also sometimes the shop-assisants are that nice that I can't resist buying products they have recommended.
So was it with this little product :)
I thought that "ok, it is only a top coat, nothing more - nothing less", but after approx. 2 - 3 applications I realized it is perfect and the most suitable product for me.

I don't remember its price, but the official Pupa site claims it costs 7€.
It came in a little paper box (unfortunately, I threw it out immediately after purchase because I didn't think I'll be reviewing it), the package itself is the usual Pupa nail polish package.
After you paint your nails, you wait a little bit to have your polish dry and then you apply this top coat. It dries very fast, leaving the surface of your nail smooth and without imperfections, strenghtens and somehow fixes the nail polish and leaves beautiful shine on your nails.
I even noticed that with this product my nail polish lasts longer than I am used to.

I am completely satisfied with it and thinking of re-purchasing it again. :)

Pros:

- lenghtens the lasting of nail polish
- leaves a beautiful shine
- smoothens the surface of the nail polish
- easy-to-apply texture and high quality brush

Cons:

- one would find the price high for a top coat

That´s all for today :)

I hope you will have a great weekend!
Please share with me your thoughts on the top coats you are using or whether you are using any of the Pupa products!

Kisses,

Carina...

...March favourites...

Hello lovelies :)

Another month is over...April came replacing my favourite month March, but I am not sad because every month has its own speciality and I am looking forward everything what will April bring along...

I am very sad the highly expected Spring did not even show a hint that it is coming :(
It is raining cats and dogs outside so I thought I would share with you my favourite of last month, just to make my mood better when looking at those beautfil things.

This month I have only make-up and nails related products, I don´t have much because even though I bought some new products I didn´t have enough time to make up my mind about them.

So let´s begin...:)

Foundation and related stuff:

This month´s favourite foundation is Rimmel´s Match Perfection in 200 Soft Beige. I bought it in the very beginning of the month because I needed a foundation lighter than the one I used. So I found this one and it immediately became my favourite. It has very light consistency, easy to apply, blends very well and does not cause me any break-out. It came with a primer Rimmel´s Fix&Perfect Pro primer. Even though, I owned this primer before I didn´t use it, but I decided to buy the foundation+primer for a reduced price ( I can´t clearly remember how much did it cost, but it was an irresistible offer). Since then I am using this primer on the everyday basis and I am completly satisfied with it.

Blush and bronzer:

I wasn´t a big fan of blushes before, I owned only one and was completely satisfied with it. But one day I realized that sometimes it is "too much", I need a more settled colour blush. So I went to the drugstore and spent approximately 1 hour  trying different shades and brands, and finally found this Rimmel one. It is Rimmel Match Perfection Blush in 003 Medium. It contains three beautiful colours, which mixed together create a nice settled nearly pinkish peachy colour with little shimmer in it.

This horrible weather made me crave for some tan and the best way to achieve it is to use a bronzer :)
My favourite bronzer of the month are the Avon Glow Bronzing Pearls in Warm.

Eye stuff:

This month I have no eye products such as mascara, eye liner, etc. I haven´t changed my routine so that means no new products. But I have two products, which are worth mentioning. One is Pupa Smoothing and Fixing Eye Primer. This stuff is much better than the Gosh one I used. It makes my eye products such as eye shadows, eye liner last whole day without creasing, leaves my eyelid smooth and matt. I looove it! I am seriously thinking of re-purchasing it again.

For filling in my eye brows I´ve been using an eye brow pencil for a very long time. But somehow I started to dislike its colour and the way it filled in my brows ( hope it does make sense), I´ve seen a lot of beauty gurus using powder to fill in their eyebrow so I decided to give it a try. I was a little bit sceptical, but don´t regret  changing my routine. I bought the cheapest one available in the drugstore, I didn´t like the more expensive ones - one came with a looot of shades (useless I think),  another was too dark, so I went with Essence Eyebrow Stylist Set. It comes with 2 shades, three patterns and one small brush ( I am using one of my brushes as I don´t like this one). And it is fantastic :) I strongly recommend trying this!

Eye shadows:

I have two favourite eyeshadows this month. First is iQ cosmetics ( a brand of an Austrian drugstore Bipa) Colour Expression Mono Shadows in 6 Plum. Even though it was very cheap I am suprised how pigmented it is and how easily can it be applied.

The second is Avon True Colour quatro in Vivid Violet. I get a lot of use from this product! I contains beautifuly pigmented colours and I have worn this a lot of times this month.

Lip products:

In the beauty world and among the beauty gurus this product induced a lot of discussions and I haven´t seen a single beauty guru, who haven´t liked this products.

By now, you maybe have guessed it is Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers. They have immediately became my favourites with their long lasting wear, pigmentation, colour range and texture. That is such a pity our drug stores does not offer all the available colours just a few of them :(
I own them in 300 Out of this world and statement colour 400 Big Bang.
My second favourite product of this month is Avon Lip Balm, but unfortunately I threw out its package so I don´t know its full name. :-/

Nail related products:

Last but not least, my favourite nail polishes...you may guess one of those is O.P.I Pink Yet Lavender, I have a post on it here.

The second favourite is Pupa Bubbles Nail Art Mania in 001 Black. I´ve done a review on this product here.
One of my recent purchases has also became my favourite and it is Pupa Fix&Shine Top Coat, which makes my nail polish last longer and gives it a beautiful shine :)

That´s all for today :)

What are your March favourites?
Do you have any new products you tried recently?

Hope you had a great Easter and wishing you a nice week!

Feel free to comment!

Carina...
