...big blouse, shoes and handbag haul...

Hi my dear readers :)

I can´t wait until spring...it was supposed to be spring already, but unfortunately it does not look like that.
It is so cold in my country and I am really fed up with this awful weather!
One of my solutions against bad mood is to go shopping.
Isn´t it the most entertaining way to fight against winter depression? :)
Unfortunately, the way to my flat in Bratislava goes along numerous shops and as my uni is located near a shopping mall I often find myself window shopping and actually many times purchasing something I really don´t need.

This haul containes items, which were purchased during the weekends I have spent at home.
But this time I went shopping with a set goal, which was to buy some nude heels and T-shirts, shirts or blouses as I am lacking these items from my wardrobe.
My mission was accomplished so let me show you the pieces I have purchased :)

I don´t wear shirt/blouses very often, but when I saw these three pieces, I knew I have to make them mine!

The first piece is a more elegant one. This blouse with black/white/grey ornament pattern is from silky material and has 3/4 sleeves. On the hanger doesn´t look very flattering, but once dressed it has the perfect cut.
It goes well with skirt, tugged into a high-waisted skirt, but I can also imagine it with jeans or leggings.

I bought the next piece only because of its colour, I also like its shape but it didn´t caught my attention in other colours. I have mentioned before that I wear mostly black/white and grey so many of my acquintances will be surprised when seeing me wearing this bright pink shirt.

I loveeee its cut and colour, I am sure that this will be one of my staple pieces during spring (if there will be something like spring)

The third item was love at the first sight. This pin-up style black shirt with red/white/yellow dots is THE shirt.
It is very casual, but on the other hand extra-ordinary. I love the front, you may tie a knot and the back stays long :)
I love also the small dots on it, mainly because of their colour.

I have a great weakness for shoes especially high heels. I can´t help myself, even though I have approx. 40 pairs of them, when I see ones which I like I have to purchase them. Once I will bankrupt because of high heels.
I can´t wait to wear them :)

I was lacking a pair of nude heels from my shoes rack. I couldn´t find the "perfect" ones in the stores, so I decided to order them from a Slovak webshop. They arrived within a week, but I got to open them only when I came home after 2 weeks.
They are perfect! Let me show you some pics:

And you know how is it, if you buy one pair of heels then you will need another...
My birthday will be during this week so I got an early birthday present, these amazing sexy peep-toe heels.
They are black with hidden platform, but the platform at the front is peeping out and it is in animal print and the bonus is: heels are red :-O one of my favourite colours!
I have never had similiar shoes and they immediately became my favourite :)

The last item of my haul is a handbag with gold studs. I don´t own many handbags with gold hardware and those which I have happened to get torn or the zipper has broken at the same time so I had to purchase a new one. I am a big handbags girl, so I´ve been looking for a huge bag.

The one, which I managed to buy fulfills all of my requirements for a handbag. It is big, the inside is divided into two compartments, has some small pockets and long shoulder straps.

So that´s all for my haul, I can´t wait to wear these clothes and shoes :)
I wore the handbag already and got many compliments on it, what made me really happy.

What are your favourite recently purchased items? :)
Are you looking forward to spring as much as I do?

If so, don´t hesitate to leave a comment!

Carina...

...L´oreal False Lash Wings mascara review...

Hello lovelies :)

It is time for a new review, this time I am expressing my opinion on the new L´oreal Paris False Lash Wings mascara.

When I got to know about this new mascara by L´oreal I couldn´t wait until it would be available in stores in Slovakia. I have purchased one approximately two weeks ago and since then, I´ve been using it constantly to be able to make up my mind about it.
I am using L´oreal mascaras since I´ve started doing my make up regularly. I was satisfied with almost every mascara I have tried, but never had such a complicated relationship with any of their mascaras as I am having with this one.
I would call it a love and hate relationship. There are days when I am able to put it on the way I am impressed with it, but the other day I hate it because it does not do what it should.
But to be honest, you have to experience how to use it the right way, then you may become familiar with it and learn to apply this mascara and create with it the effect it should create.

The packaging of the mascara is quite simple as you may see in the picture and it somehow suggest that the "wonder" is inside of it. The most significant part of this mascara is the very special wand.
The inner part (nearer to the handle) is wide and the outer corner is quite thin. This shape allows you to accentuate the outer corner lashes and the thin outer part of the wand allows you to get and lenghten the lashes on the inner part of your eye. This is one of the facts I love about this mascara, because a huge amount of mascaras have very thick brushes and you can´t apply the mascara on my inner lashes properly.

I like its texture, it is very light so that means it does not stick together my lashes. But you really have to apply it carefully, taking care the mascara is applied evenly otherwise it will clump together your lashes.
The mascara stays on whole day without rubbing off onto your lower lid, creating unflattering panda eyes.
It gives your lashes a medium lenght, I have other mascara with lenghten my lashes even more, so I am not sure whether the choice of the "False Lash wings" name is proper in the case of this mascara. I am also quite unsure about the volume it gives, I would say it gives very little or no volume.

Pros:
- wand
- light texture
- long lasting

Cons:
- longer application time
- price (around 17 - 20 €)
- does not give you that dramatic lenght and no volume

Even though there is the same no. of pros and cons, I would not repurchase this mascara. It came to me more like a dissapointment. I´ve been trying other L´oreal mascaras and they proved to be much better than this one.

Hope this review was helpful! :)

Have you tried this mascara already?
If so, do you like it?

...nails...

Hello lovelies :)

I would like to share with you my today´s manicure. Yesterday I bought the first O.P.I nail polish in my life, so I had to try it!
It is nothing special, but I like it as much that I am sure I will re-paint them this way also next time.
I know I can´t paint my nails properly, I am lacking those nail artist skills, but still, I love when my nails are trimmed and taken care of.

Products I used:

Catrice 780 Welcome to Roosywood
O.P.I Pink Yet Lavender

That´s all for today :)
Just wanted to make an quick update!

...pampering from head to toes...pt. 2

Hello lovelies :)

In the previous post I was concerned with the products I use when having a pampering night.
In my opinion, it is a right for every girl to have an evening when she can pamper and indulge herself once a week.
I usually have this time during weekends, which I spend at home not in Bratislava.

I have closed my previous post with the products I use when having a bath/shower, now I would like to show you those ones, which I use after my skin is clear but I want to pamper it even more.

So let´s hop right in...:)

After I finished bath I love to moisturize my skin. Currently I am using this Dove hydro nourishment body lotion. I´ve been using Garnier body lotions for a very long time, but a few weeks ago I decided to try Dove and I don´t regret my pick. It has all the attributes I expect from a body lotion - moisturizes, doesn´t leave my skin sticky and it is absorbed very fast and the bonus is a very clean scent.

Could there be a pampering night without a face mask?
My aswer is definitely not! :)

I have 4 masks, which I am currently alternating.

I am using Garnier Pure 3 in 1 Wash, Scrub & Mask most frequently. I have mentioned before that sometimes I have problems with zits and blemishes, this is why I have chosen to use this product. When I have some problems, I use it regularly and it completly gets me rid of blemishes. I also use this product as a scrub before applying another face mask. So I have to admit I get a lot of use of this product.

My second most frequently used face mask is Avon´s Planet Spa Thailand Lotus Flower deep pore cleasing face mask. As the name says, it is supposed to deep clean the pores and it really does. My skin feels very fresh and cleaned after this mask. I usually leave it on for 15-20 minutes depending on the thickness of the layer of the mask.

My other face masks, which I use less often, but still love them are Freeman´s Facial Clay Mask Mint&Lemon. It is for deep pore cleasing, controls oil production and detoxifies.
And Avon´s Planet Spa Japanese Sake and Rice smoothing face mask. I use it mainly when I have no blemishes and my skin doesn´t feel "dirty". It is just makes my skin feel more fresh and lightens up my skin.

Then after I have washed off my face mask, I apply my favourite Bioderma Sébium Micelle Solution to remove my excess dirt and apply a hydrating night cream by Garnier.

Now you may think I am ready with pampering, but there is one part of my body left which also needs special attention...and these are my feet :)

At first, I get rid of the coarse skin on my heels and feet then apply Avon´s heel softening cream.
Meanwhile I paint my nails, always on red. I never use any other colour even though my hand nails are painted on different colour.
Then when my nail polish is dry I apply Avon´s Overnight renewing cream, put on some socks and I am ready :)

After I took care of my body, I love to take care of my soul too. :)
I lay down to my bed, read some beauty/fashion magazines, watch YouTube beauty tutorials and drink a big cup of green tea. :)
I end the night with a heavy looong sleep as Cinderella did.

I hope you enjoyed reading these two pampering from head to toes post :)

I am preparing a review on a recently released mascara by L´oreal. So really hope I will have enough time to  write a post during next week.

Until then, I am wishing you a nice start of the new week :)

Have a nice day and feel free to comment!

Kisses, Carina...

...pampering from head to toes...pt.1

Hello lovelies :)

I haven´t been active for I while, I really apologize for my inactivity but I had so many responsibilities to do and dozed off immediately I lay down in my bed.

I am spending this weekend at home, so it means time to pamper myself :)
I would like to share with you all the skin care and related stuff I am using when having a "spa night" :)
So let´s hop right in...

The first step I always take is that I take off all my make-up. I do it every night before going to shower, because it clogs my pores when showering with make-up. It is very important to do so even when you are tired as hell.

For removing my make-up I use these products:

My favourite eye make-up remover is this L´ oreal Dermo Expertise  Gentle Lip and Eye make-up remover. It removes my eye make-up perfectly without irritating them.
Then I use L´oreal Dermo Expertise Triple Active Balance cleasing milk to remove all my foundation, etc.
I apply it two times just have the feeling I have removed all my make-up.
To make sure everything is perfectly removed I use make-up removing wipes. This time I have these Nivea ones, which smell soo clean and fresh, but I mainly use the Garnier ones.
After all these steps, I apply L´oreal Dermo Expertise Triple Active Balance Toner.

It is time to have a bath/ shower (depending on my mood, I prefer shower because I don´t like hot water).
The first thing I do in the shower is that I wash my face. From time to time I have ugly zits and blemishes that is why I love to use L´oreal Pure Zone 30s. Perfect Clear cleansing gel with a so called cleanPod, a brush on which you put the product and clean your face with. I´ve been using this product since it first came out and it can be considered as one of my sking care staples.
Then I like to take care of my intime parts, because you know they need special care too. I use Avon´s Fragrance Free Feminine Wash.
After these steps, it comes to my body. The first thing I take is a sugar body scrub made by a Slovak company, called Fyto Sweet Body. I bought one called Juicy Coctail with a smell of ripe peach and mango. I loooove it! It´s smell is amazing, I wish I could eat it. Then after I got rid of my dead skin I love to use Avon´s Planet Spa Turkish Thermal Baths Black Soap. It is supposed to have similiar effects as body scrub, it exfoliates skin and leaves a nice touch on it.
Meanwhile, I love to shave and just stand under the pouring water.
The whole process of bath/shower is ended with using a shower gel, currently I am using this one by Palmolive with the scent of black orchid and a touch of moisturizing milk.

This is the part where we are getting to the "post-bath processes".
Fuh, I am afraid I will have to separate this post into two halfs, because there is a huge amount of products I would like to show you in the second part :)

As I don´t want to bore you to death, let´s continue with the second part in the post, which will be coming up within a few hours :)

Until then,

kisses Carina...

...pure chrome eyes...

Hello lovelies :)

There haven´t been a make-up look related post for a very long time, so I decided to share with you the eye make-up I wore yesterday.
Yesterday I wasn´t in the mood of dressing up in elegant clothing, so I went for jeans, plain T-shirt and wedge trainers. But I didn´t want my make-up to be as simple as my clothing was so I went for smokey eye look adding a little bit of chrome eyeshadow. And of course I also wanted to add a little shimmer to it to brighten up my eyes.
I haven´t worn a similiar look for a very long time, but I enjoyed wearing it very much.

Here is the look:

(first pic taken under strong natural light, the second under artificial light)

When I am taking pics and making my eye make-up, which I know will be published on my blog I everytime mess up something. For example I noticed that my eye liner is not as perfect as I wanted it to be and also the pics don´t show the reality, the eyeshadow was much more pigmented in real than on the pics. I definitely have to find the most suitable light for taking photos for my blog.

Products:

1. Pupa Professionals Smoothing and Fixing Eye Primer
2. Avon Glimmerstick Diamonds in Black Eyes
3. Gosh 22 Colours Eye Shadow Palette
4. Catrice Pure Chrome eye shadow in Treasure It (part of their spectaculART collection)
4. Astor 24h Perfect Stay Gel Eye Liner
5. Pupa Vamp! Mascara
6. L´oreal False Lash Wings mascara

The way I created the look:

At first I applied eye primer to conceal the redness and smooth out the skin on my eyes.
Then took the eye shadow palette and applied colour no. 1 onto my whole eye lid and colour no. 3 under my eye brow to lighten it up.

Then took the Catrice eyeshadow and applied it onto my outer corner.

Then took a conture brush from e.l.f. cosmetics and applied colour no. 2 into the crease.
After I done these steps, to brighten up my inner corner of the eye and the inner part of my lower lash line I took colour no.1 and applied it with a tiny eye shadow brush.
Then I took a clean blending brush and blended the colours on my outer corner together.
As I am a huge eye liner addict I took my Astor gel liner, draw a thin line. Defined my lower lash line by using Avon eye pencil. Applied Pupa Vamp! onto my lower lash line and L´oreal False Lash wings mascara on my upper lashes.
And the look was ready :)
Nothing too complicated, but nothing very simple and ordinary (I mean, it does not belong to the cathegory of "everyday make-up)

And a little extra for today, I´ve never posted a picture of myself but wanted to show you that the eye shadow is much more pigmented than it seems on the previous pictures:

( sorry for this bathroom kinda pic, but I left my camera at home)

I hope you enjoyed reading todays post!

Feel free to comment and express your opinion...

Kisses,

...spring is coming...

Hello lovelies :)

Finally, it is March...one of my favourite months of the year, if not my favourite.
This year´s March is going to be very exciting as I am looking forward some travelling, also my birthday is in March, so I hope it will be as good as I am expecting it to be! :)
I just can´t wait, I want it to be spring already. I am fed up with winter, boots, dark clothing, cold, cloudy sky...Even though I love winter and enjoy the "winter magic", but this winter lasts so long that I can´t handle cold weather anymore.

Last week I was in Bratislava throughout the weekend. On Saturday I woke up to massive snowing, it made me soo angry because I´ve been planning to go to shopping for some new clothing and make-up stuff.
But I made up my mind and did not let the snow to ruin my shopping mood.
So this post is going to be about my favourite pieces of the shopping tour and some styling tips. :)

I´ve chosen three items as my favourite pieces.
The first is this trench coat from Bershka

I am a very ´girly girl´ and enjoy wearing elegant, classy clothes, shoes and handbags. I already have a black trench coat, but a beige one was missing from my wardrobe and I also needed a coat, which is not black.
I have loads of black clothes, because there was period when I went only for black clothes. But as I grew older, I realized that colours are fun and I need some colourful clothes in my wardrobe.
I will have a lot of use from this coat. It can be worn with skirt, leggings but also with jeans. I can´t wait to combine it with a nice scarf and nude heels.

The next pick are these colourful jeggings:

I´ve been longing for mint jeans veeeery long time and I finally found these perfect ones :) I also picked these lilac ones as their colour belongs to my favourite colours. The jeggings are very comfortable, made from soft fabric. To add: I bought them in Tally Weijl.
I bought a mint scarf combined with white, I am sure I will wear it with these trousers and plain white T-shirt and of course nude/black heels (depending on my mood) or also these jeggings will perfectly go together with flats (on more casual days).

So that´s all for today....I bought more stuff, but there are many hauls on my blog so did not want to repeat myself ;)
I am sure I will go on another shopping tour soon as I am longing for a white leather jacket and nude handbag.

I promise I will make outfit of the day type of posts showing these items, but at first spring has to come. :)

I hope you liked this fashion related post, feel free to comment and express your opinion.

I am wishing you a nice weekend :)

Kisses,
Carina...
