purple mood

Hello lovelies :)

Today I want to show you the eye make-up I am wearing fourth day in a row :D
I am not a huge fan of  purple, I do not own many purplish clothes nor beauty products, but sometimes I get in the mood for purple.
The starting point of this weird mood of mine was the moment when I painted my nails with Essie´s Sexy Divide, a  veeeery beautiful deep purple polish.
I am a type of person who always tries to match her eye make - up or lipstick to the colour of nail polish she´s currently wearing. At first I hesitated whether is it a good idea to use purple for my eye - make up, but I definitely don´t regret it as it became my favourite for the last few days.
So here is the look:

I am sorry for the crappy photos, but I am still learning how to take good photos. Today I made approx. a thousands of them, but only a few turned out to be useable. :(

The way I´ve created this look:

Here´s an quick overview of the products, which make - up this look :)

1. Gosh Eye Shadow Base in 001 Matt is the first product, which I apply on my lid. It makes my eye shadows last longer and prevents against smudging of the mascara even though my base somehow lost its function.

2.I usually apply a small amount of Catrice Cosmetics Made to Stay Highlighter Pen under my eyebrow area to add a little shimmer to it, I don´t really use it as a highlight

3.I have applied the base eye shadow by Gosh (unfortunately I don´t know its name nor no. of colour because it came in a gift set of 5 eye shadows, on the picture it looks more brown, in reality it is purplish)

4. For the crease I´ve used the purple colour from the Gosh pallette, which was mentioned in my daily essentials post ( link here)

fourth colour from the left in the front row

5. first colour in the fifth row served as a highlight for my under eye brow area and also for the corner of my eyes
6. to make it more dramatic I´ve used Catrice Absolute Eye Colour in 140 The Captain of the Black Pearl, only a small amount because it is very pigmented so I had to smudge it out for quite a long time to achieve the desired look

7. I wasn´t in a mood for liquid eyeliner, so instead of it I have used the third colour from the bottom row of the Gosh palette, but on my lower eyelid I´ve used Avon Glimmerstick Diamonds in Black Ice and smudge it out a little bit

8. then I filled - in my eyebrows by Avon Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown and set it with Essence Lash & Brow Gel Mascara

9. then I´ve put on this absolutely amazing mascara, which belongs to the best mascaras I´ve ever tried
Rimmel One by One Volum´ Express Mascara in Satin Black

That´s all for today :) I am so proud of myself that I´ve managed to create a post of this kind. Needless to say, there are still a lot of things I have to learn mainly about photographing but also when I am creating a "look". But to be honest, this blog is just for fun and pleasure, I enjoy writing it and I am not driven by a power to create much better looks than the other bloggers. This look was for example chosen in a way to be wearable also on an everyday basis. Maybe sometime I will be in a mood to create something very dramatic.

Until then, wishing you a nice weekend!

my daily make - up essentials

Hello lovelies :)

This post was meant to be an everyday natural make - up "tutorial", but somehow there was a quite shitty light throughout the whole week so I wasn´t able to take useful pics. I´ve tried it also today, but these photos turned out to be even worse. :D
So I´ve got an idea to write a post about my daily make - up essentials. These are those products which I use on the daily basis and they make up the base of various looks I wear.
So let´s hop right in :)
And the products are....

1. Foundation: surprise - surprise!!! Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in 303 True Nude
There is nothing more to say about it as I´ve made a review on it, which you may find here

2. Concealers: Allround Concealer palette by Catrice - I don´t use the green one very often as I don´t have redness on my face, but the other colours are used every day, I cover dark circles with the pink one, other colours are used mainly for highlighting and for concealing the imperfections of my skin.
I use the Light - Reflecting Concealer to conceal the dark circles under my eyes. I´ve mentioned before that I have huuuge circles under my eyes and this thing is pretty amazing for covering them, my shade is 030 Rosy Beige.
Make Up Factory´s concealer is very good for the area under my nose, I don´t know why but I have very dark skin under my nose so I have to use a lighter colour than I need. Unfortunately, I threw out the little box it came in so I have no other information about it.

3. Eye Shadow Base:  I use a Gosh waterproof eye shadow base in 001 Matt. It is my third stick, at first I was quite impressed by it, but now I don´t know it seems to me that it lost it´s function. It causes smudging of my mascara and also the eye shadows do not stay as long as I am used to. I plan a trip to the store where I usually purchase it and I will certainly ask what is wrong with it, maybe I would try another one after these experiences.
(sorry for the packaging :D )

4. Powder and blush: I use this Rimmel Match Perfection "ultra creamy compact powder" in 303 True Nude, again I would like to try a new one even though I am very satisfied with this one.
Gosh´s Multicolour Blush in 50 Pink Pie is one of the first blushes I have ever tried, since then I love it, it has a little glitter in it which is the reason I love it, but I have to purchase a new blush brush as I am not satisfied with my current blush. Maybe I would love this blush even more if I had an ultra - super brush with which I could put on my blush more nicely.

5. "Brow stuff": I use Avon´s eyebrow pencil in Dark Brown and Essence´s Lash & Brow Gel Mascara to tame my wild eyebrow :D Even though it is properly trimmed and I take care of it every weak it is very "naughty" so if I did not use eyebrow gel my eyebrow would be quite shaggy :D

6. "Eye stuff": I have chosen these three products as my daily essentials, Artdeco´s Soft Eye liner ( waterproof in shade no. 10) and Long Lasting Liner in no. 01 - these are the eye liners I am satisfied with since I´ve bought them, they don´t smudge, last whole day and are very pigmented, the third product is Catrice´s Kohl Kajal in 040 White, even though I use it on daily basis I am still very undecided whether I like it or not. I am going to be testing it till I decide whether it is a product worth buying more times. Now, I am more on the side " noo, I would not buy this again" :D

7. Mascara: I´ve bought this mascara only a few weeks ago and it immediately became my favourite :)
It is Maybelline´s One by One Volum´ Express Mascara in Satin Black, at first I wanted to buy one from the Falsies line but then I chose this one and I really don´t regret my choice.

8. Eye shadows: I own a very huge amount of eye shadows, but this palette is the one I choose when I am undecided what look would I love to wear that day. It is Gosh´s 22 Colours Eye Shadow Palette, unfortunately it is a limited edition from their Christmas collection, but I hope it will last until Christmas. It has matt and also shimmery colours so you can use it for more natural, but also for more "crazy" looks. As it is my daily palette, I use it mainly for creating natural looks.

So that´s it for my daily essentials, as you might noticed I haven´t mentioned lip products, I loooove to use lip sticks, lip glosses, lip balms so I wasn´t able to choose only one from each cathegory. I love to wear berry colours and reddish ones, nude lips weren´t made for me, but there are days when I love them too.
Maybe I will come up with a lip product post later :)
I will try to come up with the promised natural make - up in few days, but as I have an exam on tuesday I don´t know if I will have enough time, but I will try to do my best.

Until then I am sending You lot of kisses! :-*
And a big ´thank you´ for reading my blog, it makes me happy to see that you are interested in this blog :)

Bye, Carina...

e.l.f cosmetics haul and first impressions

Hello Ladies :)

At first, please apologize me for being very - very late with this post but I´ve been waiting for a package, which arrived the next day I have gone away from home (I haven´t spent weekend at home).
It was a very important package, because it contained the needed stuff for my post. As the title suggest, I ordered some stuff from e.l.f cosmetics and I would like to share with you my first impressions on it.
A few days ago I´ve been searching for American cosmetic brands and suddenly found a website offering e.l.f. I have heard a lot about this brand and I was quite impressed by the price of the products.
So today I opened the package and I was impressed, but after taking the products into hands I realized why do they cost approx. only 2 - 3 euro. I can´t make an opinion on them as I haven´t tried any of them yet, but I know which will belong to my favourites and which don´t.

My order contained these products:

1, Mineral Lipstick in Royal Red and Rustic Brick
2, Glossy Gloss in Merry Cherry and Ballet Slippers
3,Nail Polish in Smoky Brown and Cranberry
4, Eyeshadow C Brush and Contour Brush
5, Natural Lash Kit

The first thing, which I took in hands were the nail polishes. I can definitely say that I am not satisfied with their packaging, Smoky Brown´s bottle can not be properly closed and its bottle is dirty from the polish.
I am a little bit weird, but I smell everything, their smell is very harsh, I don´t like nail polishes, which are very smelly. But I am satisfied with the colours - Smoky Brown being the colour I´ve been searching for and Cranberry with a little shimmer in it, which made me happy because I just looove shimmery nail polishes.

The Mineral Lipsticks were little more expensive than other products, but at the first sight I am very satisfied with them. They came in an elegant packaging. I love the black packaging of the lipsticks and even the colours are very decent. Even though I thought that Royal Red will be more reddish I am very happy I got this colour, on the other hand Rustic Brick is the same colour I thought it will be.

The next lip product I ordered are these glosses, which are the same quality and texture I have been waiting for. Merry Cherry will be one of my favourite colours as it is a very deep berry colour and those are the ones I love wearing. Ballet Slippers came to me as a little dissapointment, I have been waiting for something more nude than pink, but still it is a wearable colour. I will use these glosses also as top coats on lip sticks to add them gloss as they are super glossy - I love it.
(the colour of Ballet Slippers is more pink in reality)

Other products, which I found in the package were the brushes, which are of a very good quality. I can´t wait to try them tomorrow. I think I will get a lot of use of them.

And the last thing from my order were these faux lashes. I am still very unhandy in putting on eyelashes so I hope I will get a use of them, but it depends only on me ;)

To sum it up I am satisfied with the products and my first impressions are good. I am sure I will make another order as I didn´t wanted to order a lot of stuff for the first time because I was a little bit afraid because of the quality. I can´t wait to try all of these products, mainly the brushes and lip sticks. I am pretty sure there will be a review of them :)

Until then, I am wishing you a great start of the new week and hope I will come with a new post soon.

Kisses, ...Carina.

Rimmel ´Wake Me Up´ Foundation Review

Hi lovelies! :)

Today I have decided to publish my first ´true´blog post ever, as the title suggests it is going to be a review of Rimmel´s Wake Me Up foundation.

I would categorize my skin type as normal - the only oily part of my skin is the area of my nose. As I don´t have acne or any blemishes, I do not have to use foundation with very heavy coverage. And to be honest, I am not that foundation type of person ;)
During the spring/autumn months I prefer to use BB creams and during summertime mainly powder foundations,  the reason is that I usually breakout from foundation.
But for the winter it is perfect :)

As I am a very bad sleeper, I often wake up with very tired looking face, actually it is very tired.
So I´ve been searching lately in the drugstore for a foundation which lights up the face. I have found this one from Rimmel and I was impressed as I have found definitely what I´ve been looking for.

It costs € 9,99. The shade I am using is 303 True Nude.
The bottle is made from glass and it comes with a pump ( I never buy foundations without pump because it is inconvenient for me to use them ). I usually put it up with a foundation brush.
It gives a medium coverage and it is quite buildable. The texture of it is very light so after it has dryed you don´t have the feeling of having something on your face. It contains very light shimmer, which can be seen only once it is on your face. It is perfect as it brightens up my face and the shimmer is very decent.
I would say it is long-lasting only if it is properly set with a powder.
I am very satisfied with this product, as it says, it truly has anti-fatigue effect and gives you a radiant glow. It has never caused me breakouts, a huge plus point for me.
I would definitely recommend this foundation, giving it 9/10 points.

So that is all for today, I hope I would have the chance to post another entry next week.
See you then,

Carina...
